Dear Bank of America,
We have been involved since winter 2005 when I decided to work at a branch near my home. I already had a job, but I could use the extra cash and I thought you would be a good waste of time. A week or two after starting one of my coworkers convinced me to open some accounts with you. You looked so sweet and welcoming with your FREE employee Prima Checking and FREE customized checks. I was immediately smitten with you.
Our relationship soured, though, after I realized that customer service came second to sales. Every day I was bombarded with questions as to why I wasn't making more sales. The answer: I prefered customer service to forcing service upon those who don't want it. After three months I decided that though I loved you, I needed a little space, so I quit my teller position and started a new job. You were aways with me though; in my thoughts, my dreams and in my purse. We had a good relationship BofA; why did you hurt me?
Recently I have had nothing but problems with you. I have 4 accounts with BofA and only one account seems to be suffering; my primary checking account. The account that I love. The account that I have memorized every aspect of. Why, sweet lover, did you take it away? It all started on July 12, 2007. You put a hold on my account for suspicious activity. I was just trying to change my address and phone number. Then on July 15 you put another hold on my account due to suspicious activity. I felt safe because you cared. Then, you abused my trust. You said you were blocking my account and sending me a new card. You said 5-7 business days. After 12 business days I called and asked where my card was. You told me no one sent it. I told you to unblock my card and forget it, which you did. On August 2, after my first attempt to try to use my card, you again blocked it for suspicious activity. No, it was not suspicious that I was making purchases after a prolonged period of Zero activity because you blocked my card, which made it impossible to use it, hence, Zero activity. Now you were blocking my card for using it. I was annoyed, but I let it go.
On August 6 I tried again to change my address on my account. Again you put a hold on my account. Why? Why would you put a hold on my account for trying to change my address? Several bill payments were cancelled because of you. You suck. Then, you again put a hold on my account on the 7th. And again on the 15th. After talking to the 100th service rep on the phone (again) I got the hold removed and my addressed changed. SO, why is it I can't make a single online purchase? They all get declined. I have plenty of money in my account; I SHOULD (if you fuckers did your job) have all the right billing information, so WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM??? I HATE YOU. I hate you with a hot pink passion. Fuck. If I didn't hate WellsFargo more than I hate you I would switch, but alas, I won't because I have so many auto payments through you that it would be more of a hassle than it is worth. But you know what? I will call you. Every. Single. Day until you fix this. I will be persistent. I will NOT enter in my information on the key pad to assist you. I will scream Fuck over and over again until you transfer me to a live person. Do you know how infuriating it is to try to get this cleared up and your stupid auto menu hangs up on you after what seems like an hour of repeating myself?
DO YOU?
No, you don't because you all fucking suck. Every last one of you. I hate you Bank of America. Bite me.
Sincerely,
Megan
